about
Joey Farrell is a producer, songwriter, and engineer based in New York City. A classically trained violinist, his first taste of recording was when he discovered Logic Pro at age 14. From his unpaid beginnings making coffee for Chris Thile and Brad Mehldau at The Bunker Studios, to running overnight sessions out of Mission Sound for BLACKPINK, Joey’s attention to detail has proven to be productive in both elevating the careers of independent artists and supporting major-label sessions. His proudest accomplishments include sessions with Shawn Mendes, Alex Warren, Blu Detiger, Swamp Dogg, Will Linley, LAUV, Mckenna Grace, Jamie Webster, and playing Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t So” in an 8th grade talent show. Originally an engineer mentored by Kevin Killen and Oliver Straus, Joey is now stepping into his own as a producer and songwriter.
