about
Joey Farrell is a producer, songwriter, and engineer based in New York City. A classically trained violinist, his first taste of recording was when he discovered Logic Pro at age 14. From his unpaid beginnings making Grammy-nominated coffee for Chris Thile and Brad Mehldau at The Bunker Studios, to running overnight sessions out of Mission Sound to collaborate with BLACKPINK, Joey’s relentless attention to detail has proven to be productive in both elevating the careers of independent artists and supporting major-label sessions. His proudest accomplishment wasn’t sessions with Shawn Mendes, Alex Warren, Blu Detiger, Swamp Dogg, King Princess, Will Linley, LAUV, Mckenna Grace, Jamie Webster, or Damon Albarn, but rather playing Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t So” in an 8th grade talent show. Originally an engineer mentored by Kevin Killen and Oliver Straus, Joey is now stepping into his own as a producer and songwriter.
